Scott Strong Elected President of KAIA
Scott Strong was elected president of the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents (KAIA) Oct. 5 during the association’s annual meeting in Manhattan. Strong is owner and president of Strong’s Insurance, which has six locations throughout Kansas.
Scott graduated from the University of Kansas where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. He has been with Strong’s Insurance since 1984. Strong holds several important designations in the insurance and financial services industries including a CPCU (Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), and AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance).
Strong is currently in his 8th year on the board of directors for the KAIA. He has also chaired the Membership Committee and served on the Government Affairs Committee and the Relationship Strategic Planning Work Group. His commitment to the independent insurance industry has led to his involvement with the Big “I” National office, in which he has attended the Big “I” day at the Capitol and Fall Conference.
Locally, Scott resides in Cheney with his wife Genelle. They have three children and two grandchildren. Scott enjoys golfing, hunting and bicycling. He is passionate about his work with customers and resolving their insurance concerns and needs.
Founded in 1920, KAIA represents more than 500 independent insurance agencies and branches in Kansas. Its members are small businesses that employ more than 3,000 licensed agents in communities throughout the state. As independent agents, KAIA members offer consumers all lines of insurance, including property, casualty, life, health, employee benefit plans and retirement products.
